Children of the Court

Congratulations on being cast in the role of a Royal Child. Royal Children will dance in Act 1 of Swan Lake, in the introduction to the act where we meet the Prince and the royal family and the Act 1 pas de trois. Please note: all schedules are subject to change. Families will be notified of these changes via email.

For In-Studio Rehearsals, Royal Children should wear their regular school uniform and shoes.

For Theatre rehearsals and performances, Royal Children should arrive underdressed in pink tights and wear pink ballet shoes, as well as a tan liner leotard to wear under their costume in the theatre. Available for purchase HERE.

High bun, foundation, mascara, lipstick (pink or light red that matches skin tone) for girls. Arrive in a tan liner leotard, with appropriate tights and clean, tidy shoes. No nail polish, no glittery makeup, no holes in tights. Pink tights and pink ballet slippers.

Please note that dancers may not leave the theatre directly into the lobby. Dancers need to be met at the stage door.

Bringing professional ballet to life is more expensive every year, and we rely on generous donors like you to ensure that all of our students—including those receiving financial aid—have the chance to shine on stage. Your support helps us continue offering exceptional performances while making ballet accessible to everyone in our community.

Donate $500 by May 1, and you’ll receive an exclusive invitation for two to the dress rehearsal of Swan Lake at the Hammer Theatre, complete with a pre-performance reception. This special evening also welcomes local families affected by sensory and learning disorders, as well as those who might not otherwise have the chance to experience the magic of ballet.
