Ballet is for Everyone

New Ballet believes that when dancers are provided with a positive and uplifting experience, they will thrive. We are committed to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment within our organization and the ballet community as a whole. We embrace all individuals, because we believe ballet should be available to everyone.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Dance as an art form offers a space for expression, celebration, exploration, and transformation for people from all walks of life. Welcoming and treating all members of our community with fairness and respect is a fundamental value of New Ballet and essential to our mission. We strive to ensure our programs and services reflect a wide range of experiences and perspectives, recognizing and honoring the unique identities of each individual, including but not limited to dance background, race, cultural heritage, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic background, faith, age, or physical ability.

At New Ballet School, all people welcome in any class as long as they meet the strength and technical requirements of that class. Classes that are typically gendered may by taken by any student who meets the strength and technical requirements of that class. New Ballet School students will be cast in performances in gendered roles within alignment with the dress code that they choose wear to their regular classes. If you have any questions, preferences, or requirements regarding dress code, class eligibility or casting for students, please email school@newballet.com so that we can best accommodate.

Our commitment is to uphold fairness, balance, and opportunity in all aspects of our programming, services, and organizational structure. We aim to create a space where all dancers feel seen, valued, and able to thrive.

New Ballet and New Ballet School admit and welcome students and dancers of any race, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, or sexual orientation, in any of its activities or operations to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities. In addition, the school will not discriminate on the basis of race, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, or sexual orientation in administration of its educational policies, scholarships/financial aid/fee waivers*, educational programs and/or performance activities*.
