Competition Program
New Ballet School’s competition program is led by School Director Linh Mai Le, winner of YAGP’s Outstanding Teacher Award in 2025. Mr. Le is a world renowned ballet coach with decades of experience in ballet competition. He has led students to win multiple international awards, including the Grand Prix at YAGP semi-finals and multiple medals in YAGP finals. The competition program is by invitation only. Students levels 4A and up may reach out to Emily Concordia at econcordia@newballet.com if they are interested in consideration for participation.

Our Competition Philosophy
We believe that the process of preparing for a dance competition far outweighs the accolades that come with winning. We focus on growth, performance, teamwork, and individual achievement. We are proud of all of our participants, even more so for the support and camaraderie built throughout the competition process than for awards won. We ask our families to remember that competition is subjective, and that ballet, as an art form, may not always be judged in the same way by different viewers, judges, audiences or directors. Students who compete do so with their focus on the process of preparing for the performance opportunity provided, and with an eye on learning by performing in a unique and competitive environment.
