Peasant Children

Congratulations on being cast as a Peasant Child in Dalia Rawson’s Giselle. The Peasant Children will appear in the “Dance of the Grape Harvestors,” a festive dance celebrating Giselle as queen of the harvest. Please note: all schedules are subject to change. Families will be notified of these changes via email.

Students should wear their regular school uniforms to in-studio rehearsals.

For In Theatre Rehearsals and Performances, Peasant Children should arrive at the theatre underdressed in a nude or white spaghetti-strap liner leotard and pink tights and should bring pink ballet shoes for girls, and black tights, black socks and black shoes for boys. Arrive with a high bun, no part, no bangs or wispies. Neat hair for boys. Pink lipstick and blush for girls.

Performance Schedule: MANDATORY AVAILABILITY

Peasant Children are in the following performances. We may have multiple casts or we may have one cast based on registration, so students may not be called to every performance listed below, but students MUST BE AVAILABLE for all the performances listed below as they may be called to all performances. Students may possibly perform in one show, or in up to three shows. Please note that the times listed below are performer drop off and pick up times, not the actual show times.

ALL STUDENTS DANCING PEASANT CHILDREN MUST BE PICKED UP AT INERMISSION. If you would like your student to watch the performance with you, you must meet them at the stage door at intermission and purchase a ticket for them with a student performer discount code, good only for days in which students are performing. To purchase a Student Performer Ticket with a Student Performer Discount Code, please use the code GISELLEACTONE.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ACTUAL RUN TIMES MAY SHIFT. This is due to needing to start a show late because of a slow audience, faster or slower orchestra tempos, and a variety of other factors. After the first show we will have a better idea of things, but this estimate is really the best we can do.

Saturday, May 16: 6:15-8:00pm (intermission) Group 1
