Primary C Boys, Primary Flex Boys,
Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 Boys
Role Eligibility
All boys listed above are eligible to be cast as Party Boys. Depending on their level, boys may also be considered for the following roles:
Fritz and Fritz Understudy: Boys in Levels 2, 3, and 4
Cherries: Boys in Levels 1B, 2, and 3 may optionally register to participate as Cherries
Raccoons and Skunks: Boys in Levels 2, 3, and 4 may also be considered for these roles
Primary C Boys are strongly encouraged to participate as Party Boys but may choose to perform as Frogs instead. The Frog role requires a smaller time commitment than Party Boy.
If your Primary C student would prefer to participate as a Frog, please register through the Primary Division registration link included in your invitation email. You may also email school@newballet.com to request the Primary Division Frog information.
December 26 and 27
This year, Nutcracker performances run from December 19–27. Because of the extended performance period and the fact that many families make holiday plans during this time, we will not limit conflicts on December 26 and 27.
Please list all known conflicts, including conflicts on December 26 and 27, when registering, and make every effort to prioritize performances when possible.
Please note: All rehearsal and performance schedules are subject to change. Families will be notified of any schedule changes by email.
In-Studio Rehearsal Schedule
Up to four conflicts for in-studio rehearsals may be accommodated. Please list all conflicts on your registration form. If you have more than four conflicts and still wish to participate, please email school@newballet.com to ask if your full list of in-studio rehearsal conflicts can be accommodated.

Theatre Rehearsal Schedule
Party Boys, Fritz, Fritz Understudies, Raccoons, Skunks, and Cherries may be called to the California Theatre for rehearsals at the times listed below.
We plan to have multiple casts, so students will likely not be called to every Theatre Rehearsal listed. However, students should ideally keep all of the dates and times below available until individual Theatre Rehearsal schedules are released by November 1.
Please list all Theatre Rehearsal conflicts on your registration form. We will let you know if your student’s conflicts cannot be accommodated.
Boys who participate as Cherries in addition to an Act I role will generally be cast as Cherries in the same performances in which they are already performing their Act I role. On Theatre Rehearsal days when both roles are rehearsing, these students may therefore have a later pickup time, as noted below.
All rehearsals listed below will take place at the California Theatre. Additional details will be provided closer to Theatre Week.

Performance Schedule
We plan to have multiple casts; however, depending on registration numbers and casting needs, students may be called to perform in every performance listed below. Students should ideally be available for all performances through December 23. Up to two Performance conflicts through December 23 can generally be accommodated. Please list all known Performance conflicts on your registration form. If your student has more conflicts than we are able to accommodate, we will contact you. As noted in the main registration information, we will not limit conflicts on December 26 and 27. Please still list any conflicts on those dates on your registration form and make every effort to prioritize participation when possible.
Individual Performance Casting will be released by November 1.
Please note that the times listed below are estimated performer drop-off and pick-up times, not the actual performance times. A Theatre Packet with additional details and final instructions will be sent closer to Theatre Week.
Party Boys, Fritz Pickup, Racoon and Skunk Pickup
