All advanced role dancers should attend every in-theatre rehearsal to watch even if not scheduled to dance, unless they have opted for minimal casting.

In-Studio Rehearsal Schedule
Party Scene (ACT 1) - includes Party Scene Characters, Clara and Fritz
Saturdays: 3:00-4:15; October 4 - December 6 (no rehearsal October 25 and November 29, ABC IDC students excused November 8 if needed)
Sundays: 12:00-2:15; November 2nd, November 16th, November 23rd, includes warm up.
Sunday, December 7th CHANGE: 10:00am-1:30pm, inculdes warm up.
Battle (ACT 2) - includes Clara, The Nutcracker, Mousima, Toy Soldiers
Saturdays: 1:45-2:45; October 4th - December 7 (no rehearsal October 25 and November 29, ABC IDC students excused November 8 if needed)
Sundays: 12:00-2:15; November 2nd, November 16th, November 23rd, includes warm up (optional for minimal casting)
Sunday, December 7th CHANGE: 10:00am-1:30pm, inculdes warm up. (optional for minimal casting
Flowers/Flower Understudies, Snow Snow/Understudies
Tuesdays: 6:00-7:00; September 23 - December 2 (no rehearsal November 25)
Saturdays: 12:30-1:30; October 11 - December 5 (no rehearsal October 25 and November 29, ABC IDC students excused November 8 if needed)
Sundays: 12:00-3:30; November 2nd, November 16th, November 23rd (optional for minimal casting)

Theatre Rehearsal Schedule - Mandatory ATTENDANCE
Level 4, 5 and 6 students are cast to participate in the following rehearsals. Snow, Flowers, Principal and Soloist roles will be called to all theater rehearsals, whether or not they are cast to be onstage, to watch rehearsal and be on site in case of emergency replacements, unless you have opted for Minimal Casting, in which case they will only be called to the theatre on days when they are cast to be on stage. Exact casting for each rehearsal is listed in the casting grid linked above. If your student is cast to perform a flower or snowflake and has not opted for minimal casting, please have them attend all theatre rehearsals and performances. Please email us if you have any questions.
Please arrive on time but do not arrive earlier than the listed times. If students are late or will be absent for any reason, please text 310-237-8790 with student name and role.
BE SURE TO READ IN DETAIL THE LINKED IMPORTANT THEATER INFORMATION FOR GUIDANCE ON PARKING AND DROP OFF. You may not double park at the stage door.
Tech rehearsal: Wednesday, December 11th, 4:00-9:30pm (students may arrive after or during warmup 4:30-5:00, if school schedule dictates.)
Tech rehearsal: Thursday, December 12th, 4:00-9:30pm (students may arrive after or during warmup 4:30-5:00, if school schedule dictates.)
Dress rehearsal: Friday, December 13th, 4:30-9:15pm.
Performance Schedule: MANDATORY AVAILABILITY
See casting grid for individual casting. Please note that the times listed below are performer estimated drop off and pick up times, not the actual show times. (Understudies must be available for all performances in case called and are welcome to attend.) If you opted for minimal casting you only are called to the theatre on the days you are cast to perform, otherwise please attend all performances and let us know if you have any questions by emailing school@newballet.com.

Attire, Hair and Makeup
All dancers must shower before coming to the theatre and wear deodarant into the theater. If your costume is malodorous please report it to Deborah Lund.
Dancers in Toy Soldiers, Party Scene, Snow, Flowers, Soloist and Principal Roles:
Attire: Arrive in ballet uniform or liner leotard, flesh colored tights, flesh colored pointe shoes. Bring character shoes if required for your role.
Make-up: Stage makeup
Hair: Ladies should arrive with hair in a medium bun with a middle part, except for Clara and Sugarplum Fairy who should consult with Ms. Rawson. There should be no visible body hair outside of costume line. Please wear deoderant.
Gentlemen in Party Scene, Woodland Guardians, Male Soloist and Principal Roles:
Attire: Arrive in ballet uniform, grey top, long black ballet tights, black cumberbund, black ballet shoes. Bring white or flesh colored shoes if needed for your role. Please wear deoderant.
Make-up: Stage makeup
Hair: Hair neatly combed
