Russian Courtiers
Congratulations on being cast as a Russian Courtier in Dalia Rawson’s “Swan Lake.” Russian Courtiers will dance in the 2nd Act, with the Russian Princess who they are presenting to the court as a candidate for the hand of the Prince. Please note: all schedules are subject to change. Families will be notified of these changes via email.
Russian Courtiers should wear their regular uniform to rehearsals, with pointe shoes.
Russian Courtiers will wear flesh colored pointe shoes and flesh colored tights for performances and should purchase a tan liner leotard to wear under their costume in the theatre. Available for purchase HERE

In-Studio Rehearsal Schedule
Russian Courtiers
Tuesdays, starting now, 7:00-8:30: during regular class time through the performance. Those students who choose not to perform will participate as understudies.
Tuesdays warm up and full run 4:30-7:00pm: April 29 and May 6
Thursdays warm up and full run 4:30-7:00pm: April 24, May 1, May 8
Saturdays (rehearsal on flat with younger students) 11:00-11:45am: April 12, April 26, May 3, May 10
Sundays (2:15 warm up) 2:45-4:00: April 13, April 27
Up to four in-studio rehearsal conflicts will be permitted. Conflicts should have been noted on your registration form.
Theatre Rehearsal Schedule - Mandatory Availability
Students must be available for ALL of these dates. Final Theater call times will be released with performance casting. All rehearsals listed below will be at the Hammer Theatre. These drop off and pick up times may shift as production needs become more clear. Damselflies are considered an advanced role.
Tech/Dress rehearsal: Wednesday May 15, 4:00-9:00 (all casts - student may arrive at 5:30 and self warm up if their academic school schedule arriving in time for warm up)
Tech/Dress rehearsal: Thursday May 16, 4:00-9:00 (all casts - student may arrive at 5:30 and self warm up if their academic schedule precludes arriving in time for warm up)
Dress rehearsal: Friday May 17, 4:30-9:00 (all casts - students may arrive at 5:30 and self warm up if needed)
One in-theatre rehearsal or performance conflict may be permitted for in theatre rehearsals and performances which should have already been noted on your registration form. We may not be able to accomodate onflicts submitted after your registration.
Performance Schedule: MANDATORY AVAILABILITY
Russian Courtiers are in the following performances in Act 2. Performance Casting will be announced April 8, and students may be cast in all performances. Please note that the times listed below are performer drop off and pick up times including a warm up class, not the actual show times. Theatre information with more details will be distributed with Performance Casting on April 8.
We are pleased to announce that Saturday night’s performance will be an LGBTQ+ performance, a night where our family and friends from the LGBTQ+ community will celebrate the magic of “Swan Lake” with us in the audience. Dancers’ performances and experiences backstage will be identical to other performances, as will the experience provided to the audience. This show will be promoted in partnership with Silicon Valley Pride.
